Private Lessons
Increase your confidence and grow your skills in the water
We offer private and semi-private 1/2 hour swim lessons for children and adults of all abilities. They are a great solution for individuals who have a fear of the water or just need extra attention to advance their swimming skills.
Our private lesson request form is now open! Please reach out to Samantha Goveia ([email protected]) to request the form to fill out! Please note that we may be receiving large amounts of emails regarding private lessons, so you may experience a delay.
Please note that there may be a slight delay in being scheduled for lesson requests, but we will work quickly to get you connected!
Payment is required when you have been matched with an instructor, before the start of lessons.
Please allow 7-14 business days or time frame stated above. We cannot guarantee your schedule requests can be met or that a specific coach will be available.
If we are unable to schedule a coach, your payment will not be processed.
Pool emergencies can occur last minute. In the case of closures for any reason, the lesson will be rescheduled.
No more than two participants of similar ability will be in a shared half-hour lesson.
Cancellations made 24 hours in advance can be rescheduled. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will not be rescheduled and the lesson is forfeited.
The Membership rate is applicable for families or individuals with an active family membership for duration of lesson set.

Not a member? Find out more!
- Please check in at the Welcome Desk.
- Let the Welcome Desk know if you are new to UVAC and they can direct you down the hall to our locker rooms!
- All of our locker rooms also exit onto the deck of the Warm Water Pool where our lessons are conducted!
Please bring:
- Towels
- Desired Toiletries
- REQUIRED Swim Diaper
- Reusable swim diapers are allowed
- We also have disposable swim diapers available at the Welcome Desk for $3
- Please don’t take swim diapers off on the pool deck, but rather wait to be in the locker rooms or front hall bathroom, Thank you!
Unfortunately, extended swimming is not yet available for weekend lessons
Space permitting both parents may participate in the class!
- If you’ve never been here before, when you go back into the locker rooms after being in the warm water… it will feel chillier… but if you bring your towels on deck with you, that will help!
