UVAC Health and Safety Committee Mission

To develop and promote a healthy and safe environment for all employees and visitors to our facilities through equitable representation of the UVAC Community using education, training, communication, and safe work practices.

To keep our UVAC Family as safe as possible, we will be conducting regular safety training in 2024 every first Wednesday of the month at 11:30am

Here is the schedule of safety trainings in 2024

  • March- no training this month
  • April – Active Shooter
  • May-Code Orange-Acid Spill in Mechanical Room
  • June-Code Black-Bomb Threat
  • July-Code Red-Fire
  • August-Code Blue-Submerged Passive & Multi-Rescuer Response
  • September-Code First Aid-Active Drowning
  • October-Code Blue-Passive at the Surface in WWP with Extrication at the Stairs and Multi-Rescuer Response
  • November-Code First Aid to Code Blue-laceration

Do Not Resuscitate (DNR)

UVAC’s policy on a DNR is that we will respond to keep a member or guest here at UVAC and will initiate life-saving measures until the EMS arrives. The reasons for this position include but are not limited to the inability for a UVAC staff member to validate authenticity of the DNR and that there are differences State-to-State in the USA on the subject of a DNR.
