What We Do With It

Because of the generosity of donors, this year…

  • 160+ children and adults have learned to swim free of charge
  • 184 families have received memberships
  • 43 weeks of Summer Splash Camp went to kids free of charge
  • 87 adults have received memberships
  • 30+ women have participated in the FREE PALS for Life cancer survivor program
  • 7 swimmers received swim team scholarships
  • 6 masters swimmers received memberships
  • 1300+ seniors attended Free Senior Friday
  • 1000+ discounted group visits from HCRS, Pathways, HARP, Bugbee Senior Center, and ASPIRE
  • 2200 free passes were granted to local charities to use as gifts and for fundraising
  • $5000 raised for Second Growth and Health Connections with spin-a-thons

 

Every year UVAC

  • Provides free swimming, water exercise and land classes to over 500 seniors through our Free Senior Friday Community Access Program
  • Teaches hundreds of children and adults to swim thus reducing the chance of drowning in the Upper Valley
  • Our 60 for 60 Physical Therapy Transition Program provides a bridge for local physical therapy patients to help them transition into mainstream fitness programs 60 days for $60
  • Provides access to land and water exercise programs for the Bugbee Senior Center
  • Participates in other community programs like the Passport to Winter Fun Program to encourage children to get active through Upper Valley Trails Alliance
  • Partners with local charities to do fundraising events like REINDEER ROMP with Health Connection, SWIM FOR GOOD with The Haven shelter and food pantry and the ANNUAL SPIN-A-THON with Second Growth services in support of youth and their families.
