More than ten years ago, UVAC was the brain child of many parents of swimmers who were on a team in the Upper Valley called North Country Aquatics Club. These parents wanted to have a wonderful pool for their swimmers not only to train in but to compete in. We could say…”and the rest is history!” But we want you to know that UVAC is here today because of the generous support of people and businesses in our community, and all the other wonderful amenities at UVAC came out of that initial dream for a competition venue!
A hopping center! Kids swimming and cheering and waiting for their next race. Parents cheering and waiting for their child’s next race! People in the stands, people buying tee shirts, folks looking at new swim suits, and ordering extra nutrition for their kiddos from the Poolside Café.
They are exciting. They are a chance for kids 6 – 18 to work hard toward goals, and learn from their efforts. Being on a team builds lifelong skills both in the pool and out! No doubt about it, learning to swim saves lives. Participating on a team is where kids have the opportunity to learn to go the distance! It has been said that many people can swim without good form for about two hundred yards, but to swim three hundred continuous yards is the benchmark of safety.
Our swim lessons, swim team, and competition opportunities, build competency and character in our children in more ways than one. So if you have to park a little further away on a meet day, or experience busier than usual locker rooms… we hope you will frame your situation with the knowledge of all the good being built into children’s lives, not just in our community but throughout New England.

To view a meet, you will need to sign up for a LiveBarn account through www.livebarn.com. LiveBarn is typically subscription-based, however, families/friends signing up to view meets at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center will be able to cancel their account after the meet ends and they will not be charged a second time. A subscription lasts 30 days and can be used for any meet during those 30 days.
When signing up for an account, you will be prompted to select a subscription plan. Again, friends/families signing up to watch these meets will have the ability to cancel at the end of each meet. You will be charged one time. When selecting a plan, there will be an option at the bottom to enter your 10% discount code: UVAC-SWIM.
