HEAD SWIM TEAM COACH
The Upper Valley Aquatic Center is full multi-purpose Aquatic and Fitness Center with multiple pools located in beautiful White River Junction, Vermont. We seek a dynamic, experienced year-round Head Coach. We are a Level 1 USA Swim team with 140 swimmers. Our team has had 2 Olympic Trial Qualifiers, 4 National Qualifiers, 1 National Junior Team member, 50 plus Sectional Qualifiers, a Bronze medalist at the 2015 World Junior Championship in Singapore, and more. AQUATIC PROGRAM DIRECTOR
UVAC is seeking a qualified person to manage our lifeguard staff, teach Red Cross certification classes, manage our group pool rental program, and ensure the safety of our members and guests. The right person must have a demonstrable record of leadership, planning and teaching a variety of Red Cross programs, overseeing group rentals, and motivating guards. Ability to teach swim lessons and/or having a WSI is a plus. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills. Some night and weekend work is required. No calls please. Aquatic Exercise Instructors
Teach water fitness courses in a variety of possible formats to adults, seniors, and special populations. Instruct participants on effective workout methods, explain proper techniques, demonstrate exercises, identify different muscle groups, teach appropriate methods to strengthen specific muscles, assist participants, answer any questions and provide positive experience for class participants. Ensure that safety standards are met and that facility policies are adhered to. Strong communication skills, swimming background, one year or more of teaching water fitness preferred, any nationally-recognized certification, current First Aid/CPR certification. Group Exercise Instructors
Lead structured exercise classes, assist in the planning and implementation of group exercise programs, offer useful, tactful, and safe advice to individuals regarding their exercise program and/ or use of equipment. Enforce all facility and program policies, assist with the maintenance of exercise equipment. Strong communication skills, experience teaching aerobics to various groups, an understanding of strength training and cardiovascular exercise, a college degree relating to fitness preferred with a thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology. Design promotional material for print and web in a deadline-driven environment. Print and post materials in-house, keeping items organized and up-to-date on bulletin boards.
