Dear Upper Valley Aquatic Center Members,
I’m reaching out to inform you of an incident in our warm water pool. Earlier today, a piece of broken glass was discovered in the water. When glass is found in a pool, it becomes necessary for us to implement a rigorous safety protocol to ensure the well-being of all swimmers and participants.
This process requires the pool to be fully drained, swept, vacuumed, power washed, refilled, chemically balanced, and reheated. Given these steps, the warm water pool will remain closed until Saturday, November 2. During this time, please rest assured that all scheduled activities in our competition pool will continue as planned.
We understand that this disruption may cause inconvenience, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding. The safety of our members and guests is our top priority, and we must take every precaution to maintain a safe environment at UVAC. We will keep you updated on our progress and look forward to reopening the warm water pool as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience and support in this matter.
Warm regards,
Joe Major
