More about Erin

Erin swam competitively from the the age of 11 until the age of 14 and then made a decision upon entering high school to make volleyball her main focus.

She attended Bethany College, in Scotts Valley, CA and played volleyball for all four years. Erin graduated in 1999, with a California Teaching Credential in Elementary Education. Then taught first grade in a private school for three years and coached high school volleyball.

In August of 2002, Erin moved to Vermont and obtained her Vermont Teaching Certificate and taught at Mid-Vermont Christian School for four years. She also started a volleyball team at MVCS, and coached there for 15 years.

Erin left classroom teaching to raise her three boys, and now homeschools the youngest. She also keeps my teaching certificate current and does end of year evaluations for other homeschool families.

She was hired at UVAC in January of 2013 as a lifeguard. Since then, she has been certified through the Red Cross as a Water Safety Instructor, a CPR and First Aid Instructor, and a lifeguard instructor.

During the summer, Erin spends her time teaching swim lessons at Horizons Day Camp. As she walks the pool deck of UVAC she enjoys seeing several past and current campers swimming on the team.
