Swim For Change Swims With A Mission And Everybody Wins!

Bristol, NH – Vera Rivard, (13) of Springfield, NH, raised over $800 for Veterans and their families with her organization, Swim For Change.  On July 14^th, Vera participated in the 10K open water swim called Swim With A Mission.  It took place at Wellington State Park in Bristol, NH with over 140 swimmers all raising money for Veterans.  Vera finished in 1^st place in the woman’s 10K and 4^th place overall with a time of 2h42m.  Vera was the youngest swimmer in the event.  She raised funds for six weeks in the New London area and in the Upper Valley.  Vera said, “I am so happy to meet all these talented swimmers and especially the amazing Navy Seals!  I am so grateful for all the support I have received and can’t wait to do another swim for charity next year.”
