More about Maura

Maura has been involved in aquatics since 2011. She has been a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor for eight years and a Lifeguard Instructor for five. Maura loves everything having to do with water – from swimming, whitewater kayaking, and canoeing to watershed management.

Maura is a native of western Pennsylvania and has a Bachelor of Music Education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Maura moved to Vermont to pursue a career in environmental conservation. She is also a Wilderness First Responder and teaches trail-building for the Student Conservation Association. Maura loves using her teaching skills and teaches American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR/AED and First Aid. Maura will also soon be able to teach Wilderness First Aid and Babysitting through the American Red Cross. Maura is excited to share her passion for emergency response!
