More about Kate
Kate was first introduced to Yoga in the 1970’s as part of actor training.
When she began teaching Acting in 1979, she used both pranayama and asanas as part of actor warmups.
When Kate introduced Yoga, as part of Drama classes at the Richmond Middle School in Hanover, NH, her students asked if she would offer a Yoga class. That lead to her certification in Kripalu Yoga and, eventually, to her teaching 3-5 yoga classes a week at RMS for some eight years. During that time she met a beloved teacher who taught in the Anusara style. The cues offered in Anusara Yoga deeply opened and deepened Kate’s practice. She then became certified in that style of Yoga. Kate has taught Yoga in several different settings: for high school sports teams, elementary to high school teachers, and in graduate level classes.
In addition to Yoga, Kate’s passions include world travel, theater, gardening, and her grandchildren!
