More about Erin
I swam competitively from the the age of 11 until the age of 14. I made a decision upon entering high school to make volleyball my main focus.
I attended Bethany College, in Scotts Valley, CA and played volleyball for all four years. I graduated in 1999, with a California Teaching Credential in Elementary Education. I taught first grade in a private school for three years and coached high school volleyball.
In August of 2002 I moved to Vermont and obtained my Vermont Teaching Certificate. I taught at Mid-Vermont Christian School for four years. I also started a volleyball team at MVCS, and coached there for 15 years.
I left classroom teaching to raise my three boys, and I now homeschool them. I also keep my teaching certificate current and do end of year evaluations for other homeschool families.
I was hired at UVAC in January of 2013 as a lifeguard. Since then, I have been certified through the Red Cross as a Water Safety Instructor, a CPR and First Aid Instructor, and a lifeguard instructor.
During the summer I spend my time teaching swim lessons at Horizons Day Camp. As I walk the pool deck of UVAC I enjoying seeing several past and current campers swimming on the team.
