Balance is the ability to control the body’s position, either stationary (e.g. complex yoga pose) or whilst moving (e.g. walking down an icy sidewalk or lifting). Balance is a key element of fitness, along with strength, cardiovascular exercise, and flexibility. Try one of our Balance Programs to increase YOUR ability to balance. We offer Tai Ji Quan, and many different Yoga and Pilates classes to help you find the right balance class for you.

“Taking Tai Ji Quan with Erin Buck has made a real difference in my life. My husband and I both noted that I was beginning to “shuffle” instead of walking properly, especially when I was tired. And my balance seemed to be getting worse and worse. Tai Ji Quan has not turned me into a twenty-year-old, but it has definitely turned around both those situations. I walk heel-toe and rarely shuffle, and I am more confident of my balance on cobblestones, steps, grass etc. I recommend Tai Ji Quan to anyone who is beginning to have even moderate mobility problems (as I was having). Erin is a great teacher. Thank you, Erin!”
